Featuring “The Whole Gospel: Justice and Compassion” by Dr. Janet Wolf of Nashville, Tennessee, a United Methodist pastor, appointed full-time faculty and the Chair of the Division of Church Vocations at American Baptist College, home for much of the Nashville civil rights movement. Dr. Wolf is the former Director of Public Policy and Community Outreach for Religious Leaders for a More Just and Compassionate Drug Policy. She is the Southeastern Jurisdictional coordinator for The United Methodist Reconciling Ministries Clergy. One of America's most dynamic preachers, Dr. Wolf was chosen as preacher for the worship services of both the Reconciling Ministries and the Commission on the Status and Role of Women at General Conference in 2004. Featuring "Marines in Iraq and the Corruption of Power" by former Congressman Paul "Pete" McCloskey, who served in the U.S. House of Representatives for 8 terms on behalf of citizens of the San Francuisco Peninsula. Pete McCloskey was co-chair of the first Earth Day, and a recipient of the Navy Cross and Silver Star for heroism and two Purple Hearts as a platoon leader in the Korean War. Featuring "Who We Are, Who We Want to Be" by Mike Farrell of Hollywood, Calif. In addition to acting (best known as Captain B.J. Hunnicutt on TV's M*A*S*H), directing, producing and writing. Mr. Farrell has been a long time champion of human rights throughout the world. He served as co-chair of Human Rights Watch in California from 1994 to 2004 and remains a member of the Committee. He also serves as president of Death Penalty Focus and as member of the advisory board of the National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty. Recorded Jan. 14, 2006.

Featuring an update on the Reconciling Ministries of the United Methodist Church, recorded Jan. 14, from the Rev. Troy Plummer, Executive Director of the Reconciling Ministries Network since November 2003. During that time he has traveled coast-to-coast organizing and bringing an inclusive Gospel message, which included coordinating the Reconciling Ministries Network Watermarked Witness of Assurance for the General Conference in Pittsburgh and the Hearts on Fire convocation at Lake Junaluska, North Carolina. Prior to joining the Reconciling Ministries Network, Troy served for 13 years as a psychotherapist on the pastoral staff of Bering Memorial United Methodist Church, a reconciling congregation in Houston, Texas.

Featuring "It is Difficult Being White, but...". the second-day opening address, recorded Jan. 14, from the Rev. Gilbert Caldwell, a retired United Methodist minister who participated in the Mississippi Freedom Summer of 1964, the Selma to Montgomery March in 1965, and the March on Washington. The Rev. Caldwell is a founding member of the United Methodists of Color for a Fully Inclusive Church, and the Black Methodists for Church Renewal. He is also a member of the Board of Preachers and Scholars at the Martin Luther King International Chapel at Morehouse College and the author of two books and numerous book chapters, newpaper and magazine articles.

A Celebration of Reconciling Ministries (part 3)

The third part of the program, "A Celebration of Reconciling Ministries," recorded Jan. 13, featuring the communion liturgy from Rev. Dr. Karen Oliveto, associate dean for academic affairs at the Pacific School of Religion; "The Subversive Gospel of Childhood," a keynote address by Jimmy Creech of Raleigh, North Carolina, who had his credentials as an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church withdrawn for performing a holy union for two men in 1999; and finally a statement of support signed by a number of retired California-Nevada Annual Conference clergy.

The Table of Tears and the Art of Healing: Donna Fado Ivery

"The Table of Tears and the Art of Healing," recorded Jan. 13, featuring the communion sermon from Donna Fado Ivery. At this event, the Table of Tears was on display and broke apart for interpretation and worship. A six-foot diameter, stained-glass and acrylic table with a Holy Spirit centerpiece and seven teardrop portraits, tell the history of Bible-based prejudice and Spirit-led healing. Having served United Methodist churches in the California-Nevada Conference before sustaining a permanently-disabling head injury in 1994, Donna now speaks, paints, writes, and leads workshops and retreats across the U.S. on healing pain through art and spirituality.
